Technical Support Representative

NPC, based in Markham, Ontario, is a revolution in how computers are secured and sold to small and medium business professionals. Due to the high demand in our technical support department we have an immediate opening for the position of a Technical Support Representative. We are searching for a dynamic professional who brings enthusiasm, smarts, and high energy to the job. You have an affinity for technology and a passion for delighting clients with an innovative new way of doing things. You know creating new markets and changing the way things are done is a tough but rewarding job. You have remarkable attention to detail, love working with people, and were an academic standout. You know information security is a priority for everyone in business today. Every time you support an NPC, you will mark it as a win for cybersecurity and a loss for the cybercriminals.

The Technical Support Representative will be responsible for providing professional and knowledgeable product support to our customers in a fast-paced call centre. The successful individual will also be responsible for ensuring that customer satisfaction is always the top priority and that all customer information is documented and systematically logged with a high degree of detail and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide over-the-phone technical support to our customers regarding specific product information, upgrades, warranties and computer maintenance
  • Maintain detailed call information accurately for reporting purposes
  • Escalate complex or specialized technical inquiries
  • Troubleshoot a variety of customer inquiries related to specific products
  • Need to be able to work in a flexible work-hour environment
  • Become a key contributor to the success of NPC, a disruptive technology company that has proven to dramatically improve the computing and security experience of its clients

Qualifications:

  • Must be fully fluent in English
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office Suites, Data Security, Computer Networking. All within a MS Windows environment
  • Good knowledge of computer laptop and desktop hardware systems
  • Knowledge of ACD queue phone system is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience using and logging notes in a dedicated company CRM is an asset
  • Computer or information security certifications an asset

Strong academics and a high school diploma with 1-5 years call centre experience, or a post secondary degree or business experience equivalent is required. The role includes a base salary of $30,000 - $40,000, commensurate with experience, with additional earnings potential for nights and weekends on-call and overtime to $55,000. 100% company paid health benefits, and excellent prospects for long term growth.
