The Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) hosted the IIAC 2015 Compliance and Operations Symposium on April 1st, 2015 for its members, to discuss issues impacting compliance and operations within the investment industry. One of the top concerns for the IIAC and IIROC, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, is the vulnerabilities of cybersecurity with advancing technology. In its 2014/2015 Annual Consolidate Compliance Report, IIROC states that “cyber-attacks are becoming more sophisticated, with potential for greater damage.”

Larry Keating (CEO, NPC) was a featured speaker at the symposium to discuss the security and compliance threats facing financial institutions, defense strategies for endpoint computers, and how compliance and security professionals can work with IT to ensure that their business and clients are protected.
